Concentration 9
This was one of the most difficult pieces I had to create. The composition and colors were extremely hard to create and execute. The composition I chose, I thought, was very cool but the way I had to draw it was very frustrating. I had to erase and start over too many times. But, I prevailed and eventually drew my piece the way I wanted it. As for the colors, I wanted this scene to be at night time and I also wanted a color scheme to make it look like it was at night, but I wasn't aware of how to do that. First, I tried to color everything it's original color and then color everything over with blue. This didn't go over well. When I painted with the blue it smeared all of the colors and I couldn't see the outlines or anything. I had to start this piece all over again. The second time around, I tried drawing the outline, then coloring everything blue FIRST, THEN coloring everything its original color and it came out how I wanted it. Overall, I think the whole thing looks good and I wanted happy how it came out. While I was completing this piece I learned new techniques with watercolor that I could use in the future. I think that something very cool, and I'm glad I learned them so I could use them in the future.
